Jackie Ryser is the founder and lead designer of New Ryse Sustainable Design, bringing a thoughtful, forward-thinking approach to residential design across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. With over eight years of experience, She specializes in custom homes, remodels, and sustainable design solutions that prioritize long-term performance, efficiency, and connection to the natural environment.

Her design philosophy is rooted in the belief that great spaces should not only look beautiful, but also function seamlessly and contribute positively to the way people live. Jackie integrates sustainable strategies from the very beginning of each project, incorporating passive design principles, energy-efficient systems, and natural materials that enhance both durability and comfort. Her work often blends modern and Scandinavian influences, with an emphasis on natural light, open spaces, and biophilic elements that bring the outdoors in.

Jackie earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, where she studied Urban Ecology and Sustainable Design, with minors in Architectural Studies and the Study of Natural Light. This unique educational background continues to shape her approach, allowing her to design with a deeper understanding of how buildings interact with their environment, climate, and the people who inhabit them.

After completing her education, Jackie relocated to the Oregon Coast before expanding her work into the greater Portland area, gaining valuable experience designing for a range of climates and site conditions throughout the region.

Carly is the interior designer at New Ryse Sustainable Design, bringing a refined, thoughtful approach to creating spaces that feel both elevated and deeply livable. Her work focuses on blending functionality with aesthetics, ensuring that every interior not only looks cohesive, but also supports the day-to-day lives of the people who use it.

With a strong eye for detail and materiality, Carly specializes in selecting finishes, fixtures, and layouts that enhance the overall design while maintaining a warm, modern feel. Her style often draws from Scandinavian and contemporary influences, emphasizing clean lines, natural textures, and a balanced contrast of light and dark elements. She is especially passionate about creating interiors that feel connected to their surroundings;  incorporating natural light, organic materials, and subtle biophilic elements throughout each space.

Carly works closely with clients and the design team from early concept through final selections, helping translate the architectural vision into a fully realized interior experience. From kitchen layouts and cabinetry design to flooring, lighting, and fixture selections, she ensures that every detail contributes to a cohesive and intentional final result.
