About the Project

High on a steep slope overlooking the snowy Eden valley, this A-frame home was designed to make a dramatic site feel like home. Our clients wanted a glulam beam A-frame, and we set it on top of a garage level built into the hillside.

Glulam beams run throughout the structure, forming the classic A-frame shape and leaving the interior open beneath the peaked roof. Large windows fill the gable end, framing the valley and mountain views and bringing in daylight all year.

At about 2,000 square feet, the Eden A-Frame shows that New Ryse designs beyond the Oregon Coast, bringing the same attention to site, structure and views to mountain homes in Utah.
