About the Project

This oceanfront home in Cannon Beach looks directly out at Haystack Rock, one of the most recognizable views on the Oregon Coast. Our clients wanted a full remodel that opened the house up to that view and to each other.

We reworked the 4,800-square-foot home into an open-concept layout, removing the divisions between living spaces so light and views reach deep into the house. The result is a home that feels connected from room to room, with Haystack Rock in view from the main living areas.

Throughout the remodel, we specified sustainable materials to make the home durable in the coastal climate and lighter on the environment. New Ryse provided the full design for the remodel, from the new layout to material selections.
